Tony is a wireless communications expert with 40+ years of experience in transmission and switching techniques and a broad range of RF technologies. His background also includes extensive experience in microwave and fiber transmission systems and network systems architecture.

He received training as a naval officer in the Royal Canadian Navy and has since been engaged in a wide variety of projects throughout the Americas, Russia and the Pacific Rim for the last three decades.

Tony has worked as a consulting engineer for many of Canada’s largest telecommunications firms, resource extraction companies and public safety organizations, as well as First Nations communities. He has lead multi-million dollar critical lifeline upgrade projects for some of Canada’s largest telecom companies.

During the past 25 years, he was one of the primary engineers of record and oversaw the design and installation of vast majority of the Shaw microwave infrastructure. This included specialized designs to provide extra redundancy for 911 services in the Whistler corridor and on Vancouver Island for multiple communities.

Much of his project design and management is characterized by “hands-on” engineering that ensures projects under his scope are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner that consistently surpasses client expectations.

Tony’s recent work includes microwave design and licensing for Pembina Pipe, design and construction of a microwave system to provide redundancy for the Teck Resources fibre system in the Elk Valley, design of the public safety radio system for the Okanagan-Similkameen district, and the 700MHz upgrade for the City of Surrey Fire Service.
