Luca is a seasoned information technology architect specializing in enterprise system and data integration, identity and access management, and physical access control systems.
His expertise spans over two decades at the University of British Columbia (UBC) where he has held senior IT positions in the Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering, the Department of Information Technology and the Office of the CIO.
While at UBC, Luca’s representative projects included: solution architect for UBC’s transformational Enterprise Data Integration Project; U-Pass BC transit-pass program with regional transportation authority, TransLink; and for UBC’s access control management system.
He is an avid volunteer with the Debian Project (an open source OS project) and serves on the admin team responsible for Debian’s network and systems infrastructure.
Education:
- Luca holds a B.A.Sc. Engineering Physics, and M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
